SMT Playout Automation

Automated HD playout system for videos, advertising and graphics

SMT Playout Automation is an easy-to-use system for scheduling programs and managing channels, advertising and graphics. The integrated show planner allows clients to design, manage and air a week's worth of broadcast programming with only a single operator. Every system is custom-tailored to meet site-specific software and hardware requirements.

Show scheduling

SMT’s Channel Playout offers an intuitive system for program scheduling, channel management and advertising and graphics integration. SMT Playout Automation provides broadcasters with the ability to plan, control and arrange all types of visual content with two simple user interfaces. The schedule is created in Microsoft Excel and is then transferred to Sigistudio, SMT's playout software.

Automation

With SMT Playout Automation, broadcasters can schedule their broadcast program weeks ahead. Program schedules are created in MS Excel. After the master program is added to the Excel sheet, the system automatically calculates the remaining playout time for advertising. Program planners can add an unlimited number of advertisements and trailers. After the schedule is finalized, the SMT Automation transfers the entire schedule, including all video file paths to Sigistudio for automatic media import. Sigistudio automatically loads all video files according to the Excel schedule.
